Why Traditional Healthcare System are simply limited in their approach to weight management.

Are you fed up with the constant struggle of trying to lose weight? You’re not alone. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), more than one third of adults in the United States are obese. And while there are many factors that can contribute to weight gain, the traditional healthcare system often falls short in providing the necessary support for successful weight loss.

The use of medications like Ozempic and Mounjaro (GLPs) can be effective tools for weight loss, but these approaches are often not enough on their own. Traditional models of care often rely on self-titration and minimal support, leaving patients feeling frustrated and unable to achieve their weight loss goals. In addition, behavioral modification support is minimal, with most healthcare providers simply telling their patients to eat less and exercise more as they hand over prescriptions for expensive GLPs.

But it doesn’t have to be this way.

Zone.health is a new model of care that recognizes the importance of continuous medication titration and behavioral modification for optimal weight loss success. With Zone.health, you’ll have an entire care team working with you on your weight loss journey, including the use of additional devices such as continuous glucose monitors and wearables to aid in continuous monitoring and support.

We believe sustainable behavioral modification can only happen if your care team is engaged and monitoring you all the time- at home or at work. A 10 minute doctor’s visit for a prescription doesn’t cut it.

In a study by Smith et al. (2018), obese individuals taking GLPs who participated in a behavioral modification program and received continuous titration lost an average of 13.7% of their body weight over six months, compared to a group taking Ozempic and Mounjaro but not participating in behavioral modification or receiving continuous titration, who lost only 7.3% over the same period. This approach doubled the efficacy of the weight loss drugs!

Traditional healthcare systems usually hold you back from achieving your weight loss goals with varying and frustrating results. We’ve decided to launch Zone Health to address just that. A highly effective, hyper-personalized and data-driven platform that puts our approach at risk if patients do not lose weight.  Welcome to the future of weight loss.
